Reunion 2010
Reunion 2010 is now history but what a wonderful experience we all had. Laura Sanders, Susan Woods and Natalie Magee were the directors. They did a great job. I talked with them later and they said "they had Kep People" that made the reunion run smoothly. THANKS TO ALL WHO OFFERED THEIR TIME AND EXPERIENCE TO MAKE THIS REUNION UNFORGETABLE.
The camp grounds are looking sooooo good! Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Margaret and Carl Edgerton, along with volunteer help coming up for "Work Days". I for one have noticed the changes and so appreciate their time and effort. WAY TO GO!!!
Karin Peter, Seventy appointed to our Apostle Rick Maupin, was our guest minister. What a dynamic person she is. I can only speak for me but her sermons were so inspiring and I feel we all could relate to her stories, no matter how young or old we are. She touched me with her humbleness and willingness to talk with anyone that wanted to talk with her. I will be forever touched by her ministry.
"Zappa" showed up a few times with his words of wisdom. Ron received some really nice comments on Zappa and hopefully, he will be back at camp with us again next year.
The Talent Show was a Hoot! Lots of great talent and the MC's (Megan and Whitney) were hilarious. The Seminole Gang did not disappoint either. I don't think any of us will get the image of Margaret out of our minds any time soon. Izak stood captivated by her dancing or was he in shock at to what he was seeing? He sure did clap a lot after she was finished!
I had the opportunity to do the "Prayer for Peace" every morning in the sanctuary. It was a wonderful experience for all who attended. I had one person tell me that she never knew she could go online and print the whole worship service and was going to do that for her congregation to share on Sunday Morning. It was a great way to start our day. Hopefully, next year we will have a few more in attendence.
I could go on and on about the wonderfullness of Reunion, but I guess if you would like to know more, you will just have to make plans on coming next year and experiencing it for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
Yours in Christ,
Karen Wasson
